Beautiful looking tire. New age tread design. Traction on wet surfaces can be a challenge when the steady rains of the Midwest fall. The tire Tows well but launching a boat of any real size can also be challenging if algae or some other invading species of slime covers the ramp. As a side note, It’s not really made for off road so don’t bother you will be stranded unless you have a winch and tree close by. The tread wear is quick and the grip is sticky on dry pavement but This is where the tire shines brightest. Very Good stopping and cornering capabilities. At the proper tire pressure the tires are Quiet enough to not have to shout, unless you are angry at the person sitting next to you. In the real world of today’s crappy road conditions all around the USA, The soft meat will allow easy punctures and gashes from debris or curb rash, but that is true of any tire of similar build, style and quality. Big Tip: if you drive any distances, carry proper repair tools and plugs. There are no rose colored glasses in my world and therefore my review is unbiased. I’ve logged hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of miles to date and the bar is set high when it comes to the rubber meeting the road. This is a positive review with all the good and bad that could be of use to anyone needing a tire and I’m sticking with these for now until I find another favorite because in truth, they do perform well on my truck. That’s what really matters because you can take a deep breath to relax knowing you can count on your wheels and tires as you roll on down the road.
These tires were a great buy...at first. I thought I had found my new "go to" tire for my vehicles but I'm sad to say the search continues. I gave them 3 stars for snow just because I haven't experienced them in that condition. Wet traction: At first they were great! I felt a level of confidence that I experienced with the Michelin LTX M/S I just replaced...but something happened around 15,000 miles. They began to hydroplane a lot. Now I know you're probably gonna say, well slow the heck down and that wouldn't happen. And normally you'd be right. But these just are scary on the road during a storm. Like I said, they were great at first! Now I'm just not sure what's going on. And yes, they are rotated every 4,000 miles with the oil change. The funny thing is, the tread is no where near the "wear bars". Just be cautious if you purchase these. I know they aren't Michelin's but what the heck happened?
Good wear on my truck. Lot of highway miles in snow and rain. Off road in hunting season.
Love this tire. Almost can't wait to buy another set!!!!
Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus are the best tires I have ever owned. They get me through mud and snow with ease. Great hydroplaning resistance on wet surfaces. Also great traction in dry, wet and snowy conditions. I would highly recommend these tires!!
This is the first time I purchased Cooper tires and I am pleased with them 100%. The ride is smooth and not very noisy on all types of pavements. I have no issues with stopping, breaking or if the road is wet from rain or snow.
They run great!
